Last night I worked late and decided to go to a Subway instead of cooking for my guy and me. I got my purchases and was heading toward the door when the Subway worker yelled after me that I had been disrespectful by not putting the money in her outstretched hand and counting out the money, putting it on the counter right in front of her instead. I replied that I was not trying to be disrespectful to her. It never occurred to me that it was disrespectful. She said "Maybe they didn't teach you any manners back in the day". (I think I was about 40 years older than her). I then said, "That's enough. I want to speak to the manager."
She said that the manager wasn't there. Then she said she was the manager. I told her very well, you have just lost a customer who has been coming here for years. Her reply was that she did not care, there are plenty of other customers. I said "Young lady, if you treat customers this way they will keep leaving. Do you want that?" She said "That's alright, I make enough money to pay my bills here." I saw a young man working there and asked if he was the manager and he just looked at his cell phone and smiled. After a while I just shook my head and left.
Should I pursue this matter with higher ups or leave it? Are Subways known for abusing the workers until they get to this level of crazy?

I wondered because I have known two hypochondriacs and they were both female. I wonder how much societal expectations play a role. So I am asking.
A thought that came to me on the day of Trump's inauguration in 2017 has proven true!
And it makes me glad and it makes me wonder!
Once in a while I receive some insight... usually it is in the form of a little thought that comes into my mind. Sometimes these thoughts seem contrary to my usual way of thinking. I am sure you get these odd thoughts too. Such a thought came to me on Inauguration Day 2017. Yes, that was a very bleak day. But as I watched the inauguration on CNN or wherever I watched it, a thought came to my mind and I have never forgotten it...
"Today is the beginning of the end for Donald Trump."
I have preserved this thought and I also told all of my friends and relatives who were appalled by Trump winning that election, to help them hang on to hope and sanity. I kept reminding them that this odd sentence entered my mind as I watched him and his wife and all the officials as he took the oath, etc.
It was an odd thought because I had really paid little attention to Trump ever since the 1990s when he was grabbing media attention. He did not impress me as anything but an arrogant business owner (I knew the type) and when he ran for President I could hardly believe the horrible things that he was saying. So when Trump actually was inaugurated in 2017 I braced myself for what I knew would be a disastrous administration. I kept telling myself and others during that miserable 4 years, "this is the beginning of the end for Donald Trump".
Now I see that this is coming to pass!
He could have stayed in business where a great many evils are hidden from public view. But no, he had to enter politics.

I have wondered about this for years and years, because I personally have met a number of self identified libertarians and ALL of them were white, male and from a middle or upper middle class background. Your thoughts?
Evangelical Christianity over past 200 + years implies Jesus and Creator is a racist. Thoughts?
To my mind, the whole evangelical Christianity concept as applied to people of color in such places as Asia, Australia. the Pacific Islands and the continent of Africa, in particular, the idea that they must be converted. is racist and implies that the Creator and Jesus are racist. After all, they skipped those parts of the world, no Savior went to them, no Savior gave them a shot at being converted to Christianity and relied instead on humans to do it. How does one explain how an entire continent (Australia) was never visited by white missionaries prior to the early 1700s. Why did the deities isolate these brown people for 40,000 years and rely on the development of the technology of sailing ships, navigation instruments (based on clocks)? What happened to the souls of these brown people for all those years? Did these deities just not care?

The National Center for Science Education has been working for better science education and opposing these bozos for decades. They have gotten some of my money over the years. Now and then almost every state in the Union at some point in time has had people trying to stop the teaching of evolution or climate change in public schools, or, the teaching of "Intelligent Design" in science classes in public schools.

Ever wonder why modern society's religions have no half god offspring of a goddess and a human male
I thought about that last year and concluded that it's because the goddess would have to be acknowledged as a goddess, would have to stay around humans when it was time to give birth, and the birth would have to be witnessed by humans. She would also have to stick around and raise the half god, half human child part of the time. That's why we see 99 per cent of these so called half god, half human beings raised by the human woman and the god is nowhere to be seen. Heck, no one is even called upon to prove that the god even impregnated her. It is the perfect setup.
